St Johns in schools

Today St Johns came to our class and we learned what to do in an emergency. First you do ...

Danger - Look and see if there is any danger eg, oil, glass, fire
Response  - yell out to them and see if they are conscious 
Seek 4 help - Yell out loudly for help and find someone to call 111 NZ 000 AU  911 US
Airway - Lift head so their tong is not blocking them from breathing
Breathing - Cheek  their breathing they should breath at least 2 times pr 10s do this for 10s
CPR - only do this if the person is not breathing or it can disrupt their hart and could be really bad.

Also we practiced how to help if someone is beading really badly.  3 steps

1. Stop the beading with something soft but not fluffy
2. Bandage it up make sure it is tite so that it has pressure
3. Elevate the cut so that the blood stops pouring out

We had to look at a pic and see 11 things that are hazards this was hard and some of them were like a power line leaning near a tree. A car coming the other detection mite crash into the crashed cars.

The lady told us lots of story's of how people help out people and some that were people that did the wrong thing.

St Johns was fun and we learned heaps about how to help people in need.

KKN - Quiz

I got 90% The most interesting question was the monkey one I did not know the monkeys were drinking alcohol in the wild. The Question I got wrong was a rugby Question because I did not watch it.

Demon dentist

Alfi is a little boy who hates the dentist he has not been for about 6 years his teeth are horrible  the ones that are not yellow or black are not there anymore. When a new dentist comes to town and weird things start happening to the children of the town like when they put there teeth under their pillow they wake up to creepy things. Some of the things were so destructing the kids screamed like an eye ball, And an old mans toe nails.

Winter wonderland - Fantasy

The story begins with me reading as usual with my torch under the cover of my soft warm bed. I was reading one of the best books in the world it was called Winter Wonderland. It was all about this mythical place where It snowed and snowed and snowed. Everything was covered in white. It seemed to be Christmas all the time. Everyone was eating candy canes and hot apple pie. It was a warm place everyone and everything was happy and jolly. I always read this book because it made me feel closer and closer to this wonderful world. While I was still reading I must have fallen asleep. I had a sick feeling and then I woke up well I thought I did but I didn't know, I had woken up in my bed but something felt weird. I went to the kitchen and on the way I heard bells ringing and the jolly sound of christmas songs being sung that was weird It was still august a long time until christmas.  When I walked into the room it was decorated with tinsel and there was the big tree out. Suddenly a delicious sensation went up my nose it was the smell of a just cooked hot pie. That was really odd mum never makes hot pie I don’t think she knows how to. I looked over at the window it had that mist on and it was snowing outside how was that possible it was supposed to be summer. Then a little girl walked by in her hat and gloves. She looked so familiar I thought I had seen her before the a thought struck me. She looked exactly like Elizabeth  from winter wonderland. Maybe I was in the story, but how was that possible. I went outside still in my puppy PJ I wish mum had gotten me the other ones in the story because these make me look like a baby. The wind hit me like lightning hitting the ground on a stormy night. I can hardly see through the thick powder. The little girl had vanished. I went inside but before I went in I sore the outside of the wooden house I notest that on the top it said in big gold letters wonderland hotel. I went searching but I had a funny feeling that I was waking up. I woke with a start I was really tired. I went back to sleep and I just forgot about the dream I new it was a good dream but I forgot.

Myst Description

 

Kate - The trees stand tall with the mist lingering around them. The rickety bridge lead to some little tree houses. The bridges have the green moss all over. All the birds are singing. Vines are hanging from the top of the large trees so it looks as if it has been abandoned for years.

Mr Stink

Also Mr stink smells he smells as bad as elephant poop with blue cheese, tuna, my brothers socks and old man toenails It is horrible.

When he goes to a new public school he meats a friend bob. This is one of my fave books you should read this book and some more of davids books he is a really good Author.

Matilda is a little girl who's parents don't care about her even when she becomes really intelligent.  Her parents hate books and they want her to watch TV instead of reading. Matilda gets left alone when her mum, dad and brother leave each day. She goes to the library to read the children books and all the adult books. When she starts school she is in a class with a nice teacher called Miss Honey she is really nice and when miss trunchball  is in the class some magic goes on.
